Vineyard Wind 1, the first commercial-scale offshore wind farm in the United States, developed by Iberdrola, through Avangrid Renewables, and Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), will begin delivering clean energy in 2023.

Located 15 miles (about 24 kilometers) off the coast of Martha’s Vineyard (Massachusetts), it will have 62 13 MW Haliade-X turbines and will generate 800 MW of power, meeting the energy needs of more than 400,000 homes and avoiding the emission of more than 1.6 million tons of carbon dioxide per year.
